And Now For Some History, was started off with getting partners. We were assigned partners, and then we had a raffled style choosing to get a supreme court case that we had to research about. Once the partners and the cases were chosen we dove right into the project. My partner and I got Shecter Poultry Corp. Vs US. The product that we had to have was a art piece that represented your court case, along with a summary, and each partner had to give a 100 word( or more) reflection about the case.
In this project we were given partners, my partner was one of my close peers Luce Callaway. During this project I personally feel that we worked pretty well together. Although there were some mini disagreements. One main one disagreement was that art piece, I wanted to make it 3d, but she wanted to make it 2d. We discussed about it for a little but, in the end I showed to her that we could do it and it would reflect nicely on us and our work ethic. Other than that the whole project went really well.
While working on this project I learned a little bit more of the supreme court and the case, Schecter Poultry VS US. During this project we used all of our learning outcomes. We used collaboration, oral communication, written communication, and work ethic. Collaboration was used because we had partners in this project. Oral communication was used in the mini exhibition we had to present our product. Written communication was used in the writing segment where we had to summarize our case and reflect on our case. Work ethic was used to when we worked on the whole project. Trying our best and making the product.
One class value that I showed throughout this project is empathy. I showed mainly empathy in this project because I had to put myself in the schechter poultry corps shoes and also the US’s shoes. I had to empathize with both sides to find my official decision on which side I felt more passionate about.
We had a mini exhibition where we displayed our product. I feel that this exhibition, being our first, went really well. Although I feel that I could've talked a little more, and explained what our supreme court was about to more people I believe it turned out really well. If I were to grade myself I would give myself an A, and it is for the same reason I stated. One thing that I wish I could've done was stood next to my atom and SCM writing and talked about that a little more. Everybody had two partners, and I think it would've been interesting to see how the exhibition could have been if one of the partners stayed next to their court case and one stayed next to their atom and then they switched off, every thirty minutes or so.
